Work in the Bottom Line

I'm a bottom liner. This is where I have always enjoyed working whether for myself or with teams. I just want the facts. If we have an increase in budget or a decrease in budget I want to know as soon as possible. If a team member is going on to a new career, that's great, but I want to know. I want the bottom line if someone understands or not the communication given. And there are no feelings about it, it's just the facts. Yet even if there is emotion and someone is having trouble let's get it out in the open and get it corrected. Silence does nothing but make things worse.
Even in marketing the company or being marketed by other companies I just want to know what is offered. Sure say it in a creative way but say the facts. I understand that people have to be enticed to take a look at products but that does not have to be misleading.
What I have found is the straight forward approach is the best. Everyone is on the same page and there is less room for interpretation. This should be done professionally and with compassion of course, but only when we get to the facts, or the bottom line are we really productive.
